Head of Digitalisation and ICT

NMBI is currently recruiting for a Head of Digitalisation and ICT.

NMBI has undergone a significant period of digital transformation, most notably the development and implementation of the MyNMBI Next Gen registration system, funded through a circa €5 million Government investment and launched in August 2025. This system underpins NMBI’s core statutory functions, supports services for over 93,000 registrants and is currently continuing to expand to include Education and Fitness to Practise modules.

The role will provide the strategic direction, oversight, and governance required to embed digital transformation, including the safe use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ICT resilience as core components of NMBI’s regulatory and organisational framework. 

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Head of Digitalisation and ICT will provide strategic leadership, governance and operational oversight of all digitalisation and ICT activity, budgets and reporting, within NMBI, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, compliant and aligned with organisational strategy. The post-holder will provide regular assurance, updates and reports to the Senior Management Team, relevant committees, the Board and the Department of Health as required.

Cuirfidh an ról seo an treoir straitéiseach, an maoirseacht agus an rialachas ar fáil atá riachtanach chun claochlú digiteach, lena n-áirítear úsáid shábháilte na hIntleachta Saorga (AI), agus athléimneacht TFC a dhaingniú mar chomhpháirteanna lárnacha de chreat rialála agus eagraíochtúil NMBI.

Ag tuairisciú don Stiúrthóir Seirbhísí Corparáideacha, cuirfidh Ceann an Digitiúcháin agus TFC ceannaireacht straitéiseach, rialachas agus maoirseacht oibríochtúil ar fáil ar gach gníomhaíocht dhigitiúcháin agus TFC, ar bhuiséid agus ar thuairisciú laistigh de NMBI. Cinnteoidh an sealbhóir poist go mbeidh córais slán, athléimneach, comhlíontach agus ailínithe le straitéis na heagraíochta.
