The Role of the Expert Witness

NMBI has published guidance on the Role of the Expert Witness. 

An expert witness is a person whose level of specialised knowledge or skill in a particular field qualifies them to present their opinion about facts of a complaint to an inquiry proceeding. 

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance to expert witnesses and outlines the inquiry process and what to expect if you are called to be a witness at an inquiry.
