Submitting a complaint

The Preliminary Proceedings Committee (PPC) of NMBI can only deal with written complaints made against registered nurses or registered midwives.

If you wish to make a complaint against a registered nurse or registered midwife, please put your complaint in writing and post to:

Or alternatively please email your complaint in relation to a registered nurse or registered midwife to complaints@nmbi.ie or if you wish you may submit your complaint to NMBI using submit your complaint to NMBI using the complaint form..
Please note that this email address should only be used by those who wish to make a complaint about a registered nurse or registered midwife.

If you are considering making a complaint to NMBI about a registered nurse or registered midwife, you should also consider what documentation you have to support any allegations. This may include completed investigation reports, copies of patients' records, local or organisational protocols, and sick leave records.

If your query relates to services available on MyNMBI, please e-mail regservices@nmbi.ie.
