Annual Registration Update: New Video Guide Now AvailableDecember 17, 2020

The 2021 annual registration renewal is underway and is being done exclusively through MyNMBI. As this is the first year of the new system, we aim to make the process as user-friendly as possible. 2021 Annual Renewal ProcessNovember 27, 2020

Registered nurses and midwives can renew their registration through MyNMBI from 30 November 2020 until 31 January 2021. Annual renewal notification letters will begin to issue next week informing registrants of the process.

Board Election 2020September 23, 2020

The poll to elect three registrants to be members of the Board of NMBI closed on Wednesday, 23 September 2020 at noon.

The successful candidates in the three categories were: 

Category 1: A registered nurse from the practice of general nursing engaged in clinical practice
Joseph Shalbin KALLARAKKAL

Category 2: A registered nurse from the practice of children's nursing
Marian VAUGHAN


Category 3: A registered nurse or a registered midwife employed in the public health sector and engaged in the education of nurses and midwives
Lorraine CLARKE-BISHOP

Their appointments are subject to confirmation by the Minister for Health.

REMINDER: Key Dates: New Registration System Goes Live 28 SeptemberSeptember 10, 2020

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) will go live with its new online registration system, MyNMBI on Monday 28 September 2020. It is important for all those making applications during September to note how they should progress their applications and the dates that dictate the mechanism they should use.
