NMBI will attend the 2024 National Ploughing Championships to showcase nursing and midwifery opportunities for anyone considering a career that makes a difference.
This is the first time that NMBI will attend the event, taking place from 17 to 19 September at Ratheniska, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
Speaking ahead of the 2024 National Ploughing Championships, Carolyn Donohoe, NMBI Interim CEO said: “As part of our commitment to promoting the professions, NMBI would particularly love to meet with secondary school students and their parents who are considering choosing nursing and midwifery as a career.”
NMBI will be at the Government of Ireland Village, in the Housing for All | Empowering Careers, Skills, Literacy and Apprenticeships Marquee – Block 3, Row 11, Stand 172.
Visitors to the event will have the chance to engage directly with nurses and midwives and learn more about career opportunities.
NMBI is offering hands on CPR experience to visitors to our stand, who can learn how to resuscitate someone with chest compressions.
NMBI has recently launched its public consultation on the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (the Code). Members of the public or nurses and midwives who have read the consultation document can complete the survey at the stand or ask questions about the Code.
