The application documentation you need to submit differs depending on the lenght of the midwifery programme you completed in the United Kingdom:
2 year midwifery programme
Please follow the guidelines for Group 1 applicants.
18 month midwifery programme
Midwives who have completed a programme following formal qualification as a nurse in general care may be eligible for automatic recognition as detailed in Article 41(1)(c) Directive 2005/36/EC as amended 2013/55/EU .
To comply with Article 41(1) (c) of the directive, you must have completed a minimum of twelve months' post-registration experience in the United Kingdom evidence of which will have to be provided to the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK (NMC) when making a request for a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS) which will be required as part of the application process with NMBI.

If you completed either the 2 year or 18 month post-registration midwifery programme, please log in to your NMBI online account and complete the Overseas Additional Qualification(s) Form to start the application process. This form will be visible once you log in.
