A Fitness to Practise inquiry will take place on Wednesday 18th January 2017 commencing at 10.00am. The public are welcome to attend. Admittance to the inquiry venue at the NMBI offices in Blackrock, County Dublin will be from 9.30am.

The latest edition of the HPRA Drug Safety Newsletter (DSN) includes updates to support the safe and appropriate ise of the following medicines:

  • Direct-Acting antivirals for hepatitis C : Advice on interaction potential with warfarin and other vitamin K antagonists.

  • Advice on potential interaction between cobicistat-containing products and corticosteroids primarlily metabolised by CYP3A : Risk of adrenal suppression.

NMBI is currently processing a large volume of applications from newly qualified, Irish trained, nurses and midwives. Approximately 1500 students have just completed NMBI approved undergraduate nursing/midwifery programmes.
