The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland is currently dealing with a high volume of applications for registration from overseas applicants. This is resulting in delays, for which we apologise.
We recognise the urgency in processing and progressing all applications and the fact that due to the delays some applicants are not receiving the standards of customer service that we would like. We are working hard to improve this, and intensive efforts are underway to speed up the processing timelines. Please be assured that our teams are working hard to process all applications as promptly as possible.
NMBI have now allocated additional resources to the processing of overseas applications, and it is hoped that this will help improve the situation.
We could encourage all applicants to read the applicant guide which is available on the website and in the online application system (MyNMBI). Providing the required documentation will assist us in processing your application.
Applicants are assured that a member of our team will contact you to provide an update on your application as soon as possible. In the meantime, we would ask that you bear with us as we are receiving very high volumes of email traffic. In order to allow us focus on processing cases we would ask that, if possible, you only email when providing additional information or clarifications.
Thank you for your patience.
