The deadline has now passed for accepting nominations for election to the Board of NMBI.
Election and e-Voting information will be issued on or before Monday, 23 September 2024 to every nurse and midwife registered with NMBI as of Monday, 26 August 2024 at 1.00pm. The electronic ballot will commence on Monday, 23 September 2024 at 9.00am. The ballot will close on Wednesday, 2 October 2024 at noon.

An election for two persons to be members of the Board of Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), is to be held in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011, as amended, and the Ministerial Procedures dated 2 August 2012.
The two persons to be elected are in the following categories:

A registered nurse from the practice of general nursing.

A registered nurse/midwife employed in the public health sector and engaged in the education of nurses or midwives.
As only one nominee was received for the following category, no poll will be held in this category:

A registered nurse from the practice of children’s nursing engaged in clinical practice.
