Removals of names from the Register

  • The Board will consider the removal of the names of those registrants who had not paid the 2019 ARF on 20 March 2019 in accordance with Section 77 of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011.

  • The Minister for Health, the Health Service Executive and any known employer will be notified of removals from the Register shortly thereafter.

  • Once a name has been removed from the Register, the status changes on the Register to “unregistered”. A letter is sent by NMBI to inform the Registrant of the change of status. The registration status can be checked on Check the Register.

  • Please be advised that it is an offence to practise nursing/midwifery if not registered with NMBI.
