NMBI maintains and publishes two registers as per the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011:
- The Register of Nurses and Midwives contains the
names of registered nurses and midwives.
- The Candidate Register contains the names of nursing or midwifery students or applicants completing an adaptation period.
The electronic version of the Register of Nurses and Midwives contains the registration status, the registration expiry date, division(s) the nurse or midwife is registered under, and if fitness to practice conditions are attached.
